Car-spotting thread

VW people are nuts (I include myself in this). We have high tolerances for pain. Now my son is one. I have an old GTI that I was going to reluctantly send to the dump because the floor is rusting out, but now my son has gotten a hold of it and him and friend are going to cut the old floor out and weld in new floor panels, rockers, etc. He thinks its going to be a 1-2-3 cut and weld job (boy is he in for a shock). Its better than playing video games and vaping like all the other kids I guess.
I welded a whole new floor into my Falcon with my brother. Cutting, fitting, etc etc. PITA.

Finished it, went out to a car show in Carlisle, saw they sell whole new floor pans. Either $99 a side or $99 for both sides.

The kid already went out and found replacement rockers and floor panels for relatively cheap. The shipping sucks because none of those places are close. There next challenge is to create strong enough pinch welds for jacking points, or else its the old hockey puck route.

@Carson will you have your car in time for this:
I never heard about it until a coworker told me he did the 105 MPH group.

Damn, that is so close in the difference.

How much over are they asking?

Who knows. Going is 100-150 over. And Champion is usually on the higher end.

I damn well better have it by September!

I've seen this in the parking lot at work a quite few times and finally got to talk with the owner. Turns out he is driving instructor for Porsche NNJR club events. He also has an '06 GT3 that he tracks.

I'm probably going to do a driver's ed session in the spring/summer at New Jersey Motorsports park.

Performance driving type thing I assume. Should try and get a mtbnj group to all go

THIS is the green I’d get. Not really jonesing on Python.

PTS. $11,200. And currently closed until MY24. Not sure PTS fits the T "ethos" of a value-performance 911, but I was considering it with a GTS purchase. Irish Green. Ferry Porsche's favorite color.

But you bring up a good point. I am struggling at times with Python and considering Guards Red. Mostly, because the rear bumper looks a little frumpy in lighter colors without the Sport Design bumper package (which I am absolutely not getting; I'm not paying $4700 for plastic and less of an approach angle). Am I crazy or does the red look better from the back than the green? I also like the way the red plays off the gray accents, it's a very classic color, and it's a free color. Python is $3200.

Vote now; my order locks 3/9.
