Car-spotting thread

Neighbor’s play toy before hooking up the Jeep and e-bikes. I still think a 5 star hotel room would be a better value.

These seem cool until I watch videos online from these Full time RV people about emptying the “black tank” and getting covered in your own poop.

I can’t imagine all the prep and maintenance it takes to keep one of these up and running then you connect your decently priced car at the back.

I guess to each his own but yeah not for me.

I went to an old-school barber in my town and all the people were hanging out talking about their RVs and it couldn't sound like a more complicated arrangement. They seem to all just have these complicated RVs and huge pickups to tow them with to go to crowded RV parks in Florida to park for a week.

AirBnBs and Hotels never seemed nicer.

Bought it early part of lockdown after the shortage had begun. Flew down to NC to pick it up. Now they barely use it because gas costs too much.
Something that big and it's not a diesel engine?

Probably just as well. Everything I've read says that most of them are just pure crap. Materials, assembly, everything.
Supply chain parts shortages and staffing issues were a big reason for much of that. I purchased my teardrop right before everything got shut down. I've been pretty lucky with not having quality issues I've seen on the social media groups for my model. 90% of the complaints are operator error, 1st timers, not taking the time to educate themself, or all of the above.

I've been lucky. We camp at locations with flush toilet. That way it's only used #1, no #2 unless it's an absolute emergency, no TP into the tank. We have what's called a cassette toilet: basically a 5gal tank with handles and wheels like luggage that I can take to any toilet and dump.

Seen pics of your new setup looks like a good middle ground not too complicated plus heat and AC ?

And yeah the toilet thing that seems much more manageable.

Not too complicated, but can be confusing at first. Queen size bed, heat, hot water, AC, microwave, 100w solar, kitchen sink, 2 burner stove, refrigerator, wet bath with sink and cassette toilet.

If I recall, we were averaging around 8mpg with this beast while towing and with me being a bit of a lead foot. It had the dd16 volvo 600hp engine and 12? Sp I-shift trans in it. And as for dumping black tanks, I've honestly never had any issues on any of the RV's we had. They all had black tank flushes, so I would just hook the hose up and let it flush out with clean water while dumping the tank and it would come out nice and clean
