Car-spotting thread

Stopped by BMW so wife could test drive the new ones, but "not feeling it." Said too much of a toxic masculinity vibe going on in there.

Tried to get her to test drive a Lexus, "but that grill." I agree with that one.
New BMW grilles are just as ugly as Lexus, if not more so. No subtlety among today’s car designers, except perhaps Porsche, Audi and Mazda.

The '25 Expedition I just bought was a rental. Figured all the issues that would have happened were already dealt with. It was a Certified Pre-owned from Ford.
Meant to attach pic with my post.

Got to drive this loaner yesterday as my wife's '19 Mini Cooper S convertible needed a battery. Watched a Youtube video and decided pretty quickly I wasn't going to deal with it. As a mechanical engineer, the engineer who designed the battery location should be kicked in the nuts. While it was there, they discovered a broken upper engine mount and the rear tires, that are probably original, needed to be replaced. $$$$ because it is a damn BMW. The '25 Cooper drove like shit, the seats were cinder blocks and there is no shifting. Much prefer our '19 with paddles on the steering wheel or the "power glide" style shifter.

The engine mount is common. PITA to replace.
The techs must be good at doing it then. Dropped off at 7:20am. Received the text message of complimentary video inspection at 8:30am showing the engine mount and tire issues. Text message saying it was done at 1pm.
