Car-spotting thread

Gee War(d) - being a little hard on the beaver there. 😀
Not really. GM should just close up and fade away like sears has. They are nothing like they were when they were #1 of the big 3. Crappy engineering, parts made by the lowest bidder, problems that should have been caught during development. Using customers as beta testers. Don't get me going with how they pay techs, or the software we have to use to fix their vehicles. F*ck GM.

Had another not-a-Cars-and-Coffee impromptu get together. This time at the place that formally kicked us out a few months ago. 🙂 Word got out a little and we ended up with around 12 cars. Funny thing: it turns out the guy with the Boxtster Spyder (not shown) not only lives less than a mile from me, I often ride past his house when cooling down from my road rides.

Good random mix this time. Heritage GT350R, my wife's '91 318is, 70-something Lincoln (the owner plans to tow his SpecE30 race car with it), Merc Diesel of some kind, '12 911 Cab, mint old diesel Merc wagon (Bring a Trailer purchase). Earlier there was another '91 318is, a mid-80s 911, a GT350 not-R and a newish 911T in a crazy brown metallic color. A 17yo kid brought his 150k mile '99 911. I thought teenagers didn't like cars anymore but this kid was a walking 996 encyclopedia. Apparently it was pretty rough when he got it and he put a ton of effort into it.

@mfennell wow this is interesting mix! Thanks for sharing

Hah. Yeah, crazy car guys who will buy any damn thing. Because why not? Lincoln owner currently has a Mondial T, an Alfa Romeo Milano, and a BiTurbo Maserati at home. Newer Merc guy has mint E46 M3 Cab. Not sure if he still has his E30M3 with the S52. Old Merc guy has an '80s 911. GT350R guy was supposed to drive his mint Lebaron K-car convertible (!) but I guess didn't feel like pulling it from wherever it's stored.

While you guys were shitting on Porsche, I was out driving. Albeit slowly on cold ass tires. Thankfully Governor NoLips didn't brine the roads last night. Then Dee showed up in a Porsche-inspired houndstooth jacket!

Approve. a buddy of mine has houndstooth upholstery on his Cayenne Turbo Coupe. It’s hawt. Makes the GTI tartan plaid seem more like a Waffle House napkin.
