speaking of Germany and free passes......true story...the year was 1988, we were driving down 95 from NJ to DC in my buddy's Rabbit, registered in TX. My other buddy, who is German, is driving. We get pulled over in MD, near the harbor tunnel. Coulda been Officer Bob Speed*, who knows. In any case, Officer asks driver for his license. Driver hands him his German DL. Officer looks perplexed....German driver, in MD, driving a car with TX plates, two more-than-capable Yanks in the car with him that could have been driving instead....after he asks a few questions (where are you headed? did you know you were speeding? etc), exasperated, he asks...So tell me then young man, what are the speed limits in Germany? Driver, straight faced, says "There are none." Officer smirks. We thought for sure we were toast. He chuckles and says "good one...you're free to go"I was being sarcastic, unbelievable, I know...BTW, driving in Germany is not necessarily a free pass for speeding as many believe , on the sections of the autobahn where a speed limit is posted is also enforced quite aggressively, if you drove there you know what I mean. They even had unmarked cars teasing drivers into racing to rake up more money. I'm not up to speed on that situation though (see what I did there) because I have not driven outside the US (and very briefly in Italy, enough to get a speeding ticket) since 2007.
Back when I lived there, it was all about the traffic cameras. So late at night we’d pull into an intersection when the camera was green, stand behind the plate showing the camera our puckered starfishes while it turned red and took pics, then drove off when it went green.I was being sarcastic, unbelievable, I know...BTW, driving in Germany is not necessarily a free pass for speeding as many believe , on the sections of the autobahn where a speed limit is posted is also enforced quite aggressively, if you drove there you know what I mean. Funny whenever I see this....I used to drive a 26' box truck that was 12'8" high...little lower than the typical 13'6 of an 18wheeler....However, even at 12'8", when you got to a say 13'6" bridge, I mean it was pretty hard not to just put on the brakes, slow down and at least look before plowing ahead.....Like when you are sitting high up the bridge stares at you like a limbo stick lol....so always surprises me whenever I see this.
I have not but I know a guy with one in please-pull-me-over-yellow. Huge car nut. His 'fun' car is a GT350R Heritage Edition. He LOVES it.Son has hand foot mouth. Kept us up all night. Just been browsing all of early morning the whole range from mini, macan, p cars, Evora, type R lol
-has anyone driven a CTR here?
or its a wrap job.Last but not least - I'm guessing he made some money in Bitcoin and the money he made was enough to pay for a chameleon color paint job?
More on the spoiler alert.......It's a well executed wrap job, opposite side of the car has an AK-47 to match the radical Hammer and Sickle decal, spoiler and splitter are high end carbon fiber bits professionally installed, note there are CF center wheel caps also. Owner claims he needs down force while running East and West on the PA Turnpike everyday to the office. Not visible is the undercarriage LED setup....and yes, he made some coin to replace his well used basic old school Civic.....and there is No Pity For The Majority.......The spoiler and front lip are comical. Too Fast Too Furious! In his tesla.
Add in the hammer and sickle - radical.
Not knowing what KMFDM means...maybe I'm not the only one...they are a German Band.
