Car-spotting thread

I was invited to look at a private collection today. Most are owned by one dude, a few are owned by close friends. Of course, they rarely get driven. There was a second room with a Bently, Turbo S, a Jag, and a Fox body. I hope to get invited back in warmer weather. I'm not at liberty to disclose anything further at this time.

GT3 is SOLD! PCA member from Maryland flew up this morning and drove her home. He plans on using it at Summit Point Raceway later this year. This is the third Porsche in his garage alongside a 06 Cayman track car and a 2015 GTS coupe. Listed at 133 and sold for 130. I paid 125 over two years ago and I more than doubled the mileage. That likely will never happen again.

That's really funny, I had no idea this was yours. I saw it listed on PCA Mart. You on RL too? Getting a replacement?

Been tossing around the idea of trading this in and going up to a GT4. But they're selling like hot cakes. I missed one in PA that came up Friday evening. Called on Monday and it sold less than a day after it was put out there.

Sweet! Shame they don’t get driven much. FYI I think the 4th car is a mid-50’s Ford Thunderbird, no?

@Chris(NJ) 👍🏼 what trim is that? Last thing I saw was you bought a nice older truck

Thanks. Yea I sold that '49 for a pretty good profit last year. Never even put it up for sale. Some guy showed up with cash. It was heartbreaking, but couldn't pass it up. That's how I wound up with this.
It's an "S". Has all the options I was looking for; Sport Chrono, X73, PSE. No mods to speak of, really. Just a GT4 shifter.
Only thing it's "missing" from a GTS spec, aside from the appearance package, would be PTV. But if I wind up keeping this, DeMan motorsports is right up the road and a shorter gearing and LSD is always an option.

Something about a sterile garage environment like that rubs me the wrong way. I hope the second room has a lift!

There's a guy about a mile from me who has a crazy garage. Here's the street view:

What's not obvious is that it goes back 110 feet! Roughly 4400 sq ft. I haven't been in it (I've only met him once) but I saw some pics when the house was for sale. It's a business in the front, party at the back setup. Nice flooring, a small media room, a bar near the front IIRC, but a shop with a lift in the back. It's really something.

Weirdly, a well-known restorer of Vincent motorcycles lives directly across the street.
