Chimney Rock Conditions

Rode yellow/ hi tech. Couple wett spots on the flat into hitech off miller lane. The newer section across gilbride from yellow( lolipop) was pretty wet in spots.

Tree down on yellow. Maybe the guy removing all the rocks can remove this too.

I only rode black, yellow, green and Cromwell today but surprisingly good out there! The leaves and wind has helped.
A few muddy spots on black but in expected areas.
It’ll only get better this week!

Riding now and have to concur. Get some while there's daylight

i'm hoping to get out this wknd to ride the new blue re-route and the new trails east of vosseler. i've ridden it once or twice but have gotten turned around a few times...

does anyone have a "route" for that section?

this is the loop we managed to eke out last time around...

thanks!

Yup, the new stuff is Cromwell. In another thread I did post a route that I take there, but I popped in over the weekend and it may change. There’s still work going on there - looks like some additional improvements to the drainage.

Current conditions?
Snuck out for a short loop today, all of red (save that one forever puddle on lower interior) and the little bit of blue I rode were perfectly fine, no water problems.

The new stuff on white from Friday's TM session is also in terrific shape. Some of the surrounding area on white is greasy (not surprising).

Biggest hazard all over is all the leaves, seems like the ground cover has tripled in last week hahaha.

Map below just to reference spots I hit and commented on. Completely rideable.

@Kirt Someone needs to install some of these for the OG riders who ride from muscle memory and don't pay attention to where the trail was suddenly moved.

That's why I try and rake the leaves to the lead up for anything new/changed. I think that should be a signal of some sort. And luckily modern bikes have great brakes.

Got back earlier than expected yesterday while there was still daylight and rode the new route. Excellent, tho that muscle memory did almost send me to a very very bad place hahaha. Thumbs up on another great re-route.
