Chimney Rock Conditions

Two big trees down which will require chainsaw activity.
Most of what I did today was just small debris from the storm. No mud.
Leaf littler is getting more significant.

FYI-Camp will be closed for a bunch of days/weeks/months for deer offing. I don't know why it's so many days, I'm just the messenger.

I believe that was the stuff they worked on when they had the official TM session. The image above your post - I can't make out where that is exactly.
Unfinished berms. There are a couple of them. They don’t look like the kindof trail work done in the past. That’s why I asked.

Deer culling within Washington Valley Park. It will be closed for all park goers and entrances taped off. Not sure if it includes all sections, but I assume it does. Info I received says it's all day.

Wednesdays only

Jan 7th through Feb 11th 2026

So 6 days total, unlike the camp closure.

CAMP closure dates again:

Wow! That’s a ton of days for Cromwell.
Thanks for the heads up.
I’m assuming that the brush fire didn’t touch Chimneyrock last night?

Got some miles in yesterday, conditions are still pretty good. White is starting to get a little shitty and I’d avoid the access trail on chimney rock rd leading to the bridge. Didn’t hit the river side of blue, safe to assume that’ll be messy as well.
Can’t update on Cromwell, forget when the mass deer murder was so I avoided. Get out while you can, one good soaking may be a wrap for the season until it freezes.

Feel like we had a good long run this year. I’m usually avoiding the local stuff at this point.

Cromwell is good except for the Stop Sign trail which is really too soft to be ridden with all the new work.
