Chimney Rock Conditions

5:30 tonight.
White was totally dry.
Blue up Newman's and down new middle was dry.
Red was wet surprisingly pretty much every trail. There was water in places I never saw.
Nothing terrible. Bike not even that bad.
Agreed. I was surprised how much Red was wet. Overall a nice evening though.

@GSTim - What time do you guys ride on Mondays? I'd love to meet up and ride with y'all.

I've been on mtbnj for ~13yrs now, but rarely post. 🙂
Mondays @ 5:30, ballfield lot.

Same today, red bunch of wet spots but all mostly avoidable. Blue (same sections) and white were excellent.

HUGE thank you to whoever(s) put the tree stump ramps back on the big rock of inner blue 2. Never had any w/ me when I went thru there and the chronic back said don't try it yourself you idiot.

Eyes opened up WIDE when I came up to the rock and saw the first one going hope (of course hoping the other would be on the other side to go down, PHEW!).

Sampled the Cromwell trails this morning. For the most part they’re dry and rideable. Some sections had a puddle here and there.

There’s three trails it appears. A pink flashed outer loop that gives you about three miles. And then two interior trails flashed blue and green. I did not ride those. It’s only going to get better as it gets packed in. But it’s as close as you’ll get to machine cut “flow” in this area.

The gravel loop looks like some great pedaling too!

It’s the builder that won the bid. They’re not done yet. No idea what the company name is but they’re not trail builders by trade. Did I mention they’re not done yet?
Word is starting to get out.. I asked an admin on FB to take down a post about it today.
I’m glad that they don’t have signs up to stay out, but I’m thinking the more visibility this gets and more people that try to ride it’l those signs will be up soon enough..

It’s like Fight Club.. we don’t talk about Fight Club.

I think they don't care if the nearly done trails are ridden. The three mile outer loop (pink) is on Trailforks, so it is not being kept secret. They should request that to be removed, if they don't want the trails ridden.

Rode almost all of it yesterday and it was fine. There was one about 15 foot section of standing water and deep mud at a low turn in the outer loop. This part obviously needs work and is laid out incorrectly, apparently.
