Don't Call it a Comeback

So basically:

* The almanac says East/West coasts will have an average winter
* The editor says it won't be average, it will be cold

I'd say they either need a new almanac writer or editor. The passages quoted from the bok read like a generic fortune teller reading. Let me guess, "something big will happen this year"?

Yeah, there is a 50/50 chance that editor is right.

But like I said last night, I think this winter is going to be crap. That's just my prediction.

The weather in the last year has been crap. Last winter was cold, this summer was wet. It is what it is. The only thing bothersome is the amount of rains we're seeing on weekends. That's starting to add up.

I don't have a historic frame of reference. Before this year, snow was good because skiing was good. Now it matters for me that I have to get on the spinner or not. At least I can take solace in skiing. Although local skiing is crap. Am I being too negative? I'm going back to work now. Well, after lunch.

One of my most memorable rides this year was on crunchy packed snow, in the dark, with temps in the single digits. I say, Let It Snow! :getsome:

Anything is better than a muddy winter with temps in the 40's.

For a second I thought that was your body temp since we're on health topic. Whew.

Yeah. We are comforted by that he went without suffering but it blows in any case. New boxer puppy should be home in a month or so.

We need to go riding. I can possibly come out to you to Hartshorne since I've never been one of these days.

Yeah it's been too long 😉. My road bike should be done shortly we can do some post work fun!

I remember a couple of super fun rides at Six mile with J & Co in the crisp snow. Fun for sure. I still remember Vreeland having some issues on his road shoes in the snow 😀

Road rides I imagine wouldn't be as groovy

I ran the Fusion2 (with tubes) for a while and liked them but not as much as the Vredelsteins that I am running now. I get the feeling that the Intensive's are "higher end" tires...

Did a 35 mile 2hr work to home ride. I hit up some of Kevin's reco'd roads, big thumbs up. I actually decided to go through Princeton, and it's sketchy, but ok for variety once in a while.

glad you like those roads, i prefer pretty brook and bayberry the opposite directions, but are good either way. you can take wiggins/hamilton ave to avoid nassua street if it isnt your thing...nice road without a bunch of stops

No, meaning its more durable. J has this silly notion that i'm tough on my equipment 🙄 so he tends to try to steer me towards more fool proof stuff.

So wouldn't that mean he would have recommended the Intensives if they are tougher?😕
