Where...?
Where oh where does the time go? I just don't know. I do want to try and update this every day, but somehow the days get away from me. When I WFH, which I'm still doing, I seem to let the day slip by and before I know it, it's late afternoon. And then people aren't as responsive to the posts. But then, I can't post in the morning so much because I end up working early morning, or doing other things that preclude me from writing, such as going out and having lunch with a friend, like I did today. So it goes.
Wait, still WFH?
Yeah, still have not been in the office yet. The Path is back and Allison told me it was free & clear. But I'm taking one more week to just enjoy the confines of my couch while I work. I know I need to get back into the routine of going into the city. I think my regular schedule will be M/W/F in the office and T/T at home. Wednesday night I'll have J and then drop her off at school just before 9:00. So going into the office then makes no sense.
Anyway, there's that.
Biking
I have been biking, and my streak continues, but right now it's just about turning the pedals and burning some calories. Unfortunately these days that more or less means the trainer. By the time I end up getting on the bike, it's easier to just burn an hour watching Scrubs. So it goes.
Yes, I love Scrubs. It's so me.
With J around this weekend I did something like 3 of 4 days on the trainer. I did get out Friday for about 2 hours, which was nice. It seems like forever ago but it was 60 degrees that day. It was nice.
No real plans going forward. I'll cobble together some time on the bike when I can. I'm not so much concerned with a massive base winter. I'll take what I can get and fill in the cracks with the trainer or rollers or just sleeping more. It doesn't really matter at this point. Since I haven't defined any goals for 2013 I'm not really thinking much in terms of a winter plan, other than just getting saddle time in.
Feedback
Joe - No need for a microwave. Turns out I already have 1 over the stove. A friend of mine pointed that out right after I moved in. Hey, how about that? That's good, since I don't have a ton of counter space.
Speaking of the counter, I need to get my espresso game on. The limiter here is that need to figure out the roasting situation. I guess I can try on the mini deck outside the living room. The concern there is that the roast may stall with the cold temps. I should try it though, since you never know until you try.
Patty - I plan to have another party after the new year and invite many of the same people, plus at least 1 more
🙂. Then you can bring me wall art and plants if you so desire. I have a tree in the corner now with the Iggy train set, so I do have 2 things alive (well, sort of) in the house at the moment. But I make no promises on keeping any plants you give me alive. I will try though.
That reminds me I need to water this tree. BRB...
Thanks for the reminder. And yes, the dining room chair. Maybe everyone but me broke it?
Birthday wishers - thanks, appreciate it. It was a really good birthday, actually.
Mitch - Thank you sir. When every door opens, is worth 2 in the bush. Or something like that, right? Anyway, always look on the bright side of it never being late to have a happy childhood. These just aren't coming out like they're supposed to. I'm sure you understand. You of all people.
Julia, a Tree, and a Train
This is great in theory, and trust me she LOVES it. But holy hell is this train annoying.
