Your missing my bottom line
10spd>12spd chain end of discussion

Not sure that’s true either. The rolllers in 12speed are narrower so they’re actually stronger.

But it’s still apples and oranges.

Sticking to 10 speed chains, the higher spec chains are still way more durable. So a 10 speed LX chain is less durable than a 10 speed XTR.

Honestly don't disagree here, my reason of lower tier was not aimed at chain

And my real world results were folded cassettes and broken teeth. I never met a 12 spd grouppo sans axs that didn't suck for me.

And this is the only chain I used that hasn't snapped.

10sp kmc was my SS chain staple also.

I just wrapped an 8 speed acera on my road ebike after the chain dropped. Dropped the whole derailluer on the road minus chain it was bad. I literally put a new chain on that ride.

I like 8 speed because the chains are cheap

I will replace it with a acolyte drivetrain.

The cass will likely fold quickly. The der will likely not be killed for at least two weeks.
This is also the time to acknowledge that SRAM transmission was basically invented for ebikes. I did a few 2000 plus foot climbs pulling my daughter with a towee strap unis transmission. You can shift under the full pulling torque of two people.

Agreed 100%. It’s crazy how slow Transmission shifts. They have to make an update so it shifts like AXS Eagle. It may be durable, but it seemed like a step backwards.

It can't shift any faster. Thats the trick. On the ebike you don't notice it. I'm not sure I want it on the Acoustic version.

What are you riding? Was planning to update MrsQs ebike to 10 spd but was aware there were ebike spec'd derailleurs and chains

If they made an “Acoustic mode”, they should be able to make it shift faster.

Also think old AXS is a better system. I’m sure there’s a Firmware in Beta to get it to get it be better on a normal bike. I’m not even sure where the extra durability comes into play, I’ve broken every part off every one of my bikes and have yet to break a rear derailleur 😂

On the Ebike, I think the transmission is a better choice. I still prefer the older style shifter and luckily it is still compatible. But I agree, the older system is preferred on a ME-Bike.

Well, as expected, I am about ready to move on to a 170-180mm ebike. I wish that Halters would help me out with the Bullit if they still have it : )

What size?
XL, but I haven't ridden a Santa Cruz ever, so not sure if that's the right fit. Also I forgot that it is a carbon frame, which may give me issues with what I put my adventuring bikes through.

We have one on closeout. I see very few SC carbon frames fail. Almost 0
