@chemgirl I appreciate the effort on the small stuff. It’s very time consuming and time has been at a premium recently. Keep going when you or anyone else has time with the small stuff and the “hangers”!
The larger stuff will be cleaned up by the preserve’s managing body, please do not bring heavy equipment out there. There are some very dangerous trees under pressure that could snap back and cause injury or worse. We really don’t want to see anyone getting hurt. There is a mandate by the state of NJ that anything over 8” in diameter will be take care of by the state, or the Environmental Commission. The most helpful thing for large trees right now is pointing them out on the map so we won’t have to go searching for them. Chris is aware of the ones on Yellow.
