Generic Pro Road Cycling Thread

Wow, currently it is a blood bath for the GC.
And now we have a race. Pity so few watch this race because it isn't on US TV, much better than the TDF this year.

And whats with these sprints and the Tour of Britain? The only thing missing as been Sagan finishing 2nd in them. Apparently Ettix has an arsenal specifically suited for this race.

It's on US TV. It's on Universal Sports since Stage 1. They show lots of cycling. I've even been watching a bunch of Mountain Biking (XC and DH) on there. They are televising the Worlds too.

Fios dropped that in my area early last year and I am not paying $10 a month to get that package. And those announcers. 🙁

That being said, I watched maybe a half hour total of the TDF this year on TV. Saving to watch it when I get home is like watching a rerun.

I didn't realize that FIOS dropped it. What area if you don't mind my asking. I guess I don't realize what the packages cost because I get the employee package that includes everything but pay per views. It's about the ONLY thing that company does for it's employees.

Whatever the Trenton area plan is. It used to be on the basic extreme but then bumped it to one of the sports bundle.

How's about EBH at the Tour of Britain. Can he get himself into the Rainbow strips this year?

Now Aru potentially takes a push/Madison slingshot from his teammate?
4:08. Much harder to tell what happened from this angle

Not to mention Degenkolb pulling for Tom D, nice!
Tomorrow Astana will go all out to try and break Tom D.

Well how often does the leader of a stage race go from 1st to 6th on the penultimate stage?

Finally got caught up after successfully avoiding twitter and the web because I missed Saturday stage only to accidentally read a headline saying Aru destroyed Dumoulin. meh. And Rodriquez and Majka hop onto the podium, WTF? Thought it was kinda funny that cycling news headlines were about Degenkold winning the final sprint rather than Aru winning BECAUSE Astana.

Anyways, worlds starts one week from today. The top peeps look to be on form and will we see Sagan in the rainbow strips this year so he can tell his current boss to SAD. What about Michael Matthews?

Saw what you will about Nibali, but it is a pleasure watching him descended on a bike. His attacking and aggressive style is great to watch.

IL Lombaridia

Also, look at the playback at 2:40, shit like this is why I dream to ride there again.

I love the bullshit passive aggressive no-crash comment.

I'm sure if the pros jammed carrots up their asses people would line up to buy carrots.

I dunno how much of this I can take. Already with the injuries? And Degs? FFS.
Yeah, seems like every other day some team be getting run over by cars. Is this the new way to avoid out of comp testing?

In any case the BS early season races are coming to a close and I think they have actually been pretty good. Cav and Kitt clashing and kittel murder bitches in the face already. EBH actually winning; is sprinting pressure off of him now that they have Cav for the big sprints (even though he has track legs right now, can't deny the class of that mofo, which he showed in Qatar)? Gerraint Thomas, Cancellera and Kristoff all seem to be on form and haven't heard much from Stybar or Sep Van Marke. In any case.....the start of the cobbled semi classics:

ONH and KBK next weekend and Strade Biancha the following weekend and Milan San Remo after that. Best time of the year...

Outside the cobbled, Nibali on early form, can he sneak away on the Poggio and bomb the decent and get a monument win there? He has tried before and maybe this year as his climbing is on form and few can follow his wheel downhill.b as long as he can drop the sprinter and Valverde, who is unfortunately on form as well.
