Generic Pro Road Cycling Thread

the team will be re-branded as RadioShack-Nissan-Trek Professional Cycling Team as of next year.

REALLY? haha could it get any longer?

Really looking forward to watching this one. Het Neiuwsblad (Sep!) was awesome. Looks like Cav is on his way to becoming an all-rounder.

wheelsuckers! spartacus was easily the strongest on the day. at least gerrans took a turn at the front for a little unlike nibali...

EBH, Sagan, Sep. There's the podium for Flanders. Possibly Chavanel. Just 'cause he's turned into super-teammate. (Or, and much more likely, it'll be Cance, Boonen and Friere.)

I don't think we will see Sagan up there, but more of a chance for flander than roubaix anyways. Seems like it will be easy to neutralize with some many big players having team mates that can go up the road, where Cancellera basically has none.

Flanders is such a weird race, though. Last year's race, with Chava and Cancellara torching themselves and Nuyens slipping through? That was fun. Sagan's smart (well, getting smarter anyway), Sep's strong as hell... And Cance isn't going to be marked as heavily as last year. It's nowhere near as much of a wood-chipper as Roubaix. Any idea what the re-route is supposed to do? People are talking about a HARDER race. Tremble.

Yeah, the re-reoute sounds like it is going to be harder with more climbs in the later part of the race. I think there is a circuit with 3 laps at the end, but that may be a different race. Hopefully the televised coverage is good as I will be riding HOH and miss the live stuff.
