"Lookin' forward to seein' whassup, calibratin' tha frequencies, seein' where all these dudes are at"

MOM: "You boys been smoking reefer in the basement again? Your daddy's gonna give you the belt when he gets home!"
SON: "Nah ma, just calibrating the frequencies"

hahahaha.. he's such a hippy stoner. Apparently he's dating Kasia Niewiadoma, from the Canyon SRAM women's team and they made their relationship public this weekend. There have been pictures of them together in the past, but not like this. She's a rising star in the women's ranks... had a solid year this year and looks to be in for more of the same this year. She finished 2nd in the Women's Strade Bianche for the 3rd year in a row.

hahaha... I thought the exact same thing at first. On second thought though, I think it might be good for him. I feel like he was at a point a few years ago, after his accident that he wasn't thrilled with racing and wanted to quit. He seems to be past that now and maybe being involved with someone that can also relate to the training and take part with him is a good thing.

After watching PN stage 2 I couldn't help but compare DG's uphill sprint to Sagan's. DG doesn't have the kick Sagan does, not even close...not yet. He held off Greipel and Viviani though.... So I started wondering if DG might actually push Sagan a little some day.

Yet to be seen if DG's is tactically as good, most of the races he won this year were were drag races. Also, if he will be ded the rest of the year.

In case the WVA fan boys didn't get enough...
Thanks for finding that! Makes his ride that much more awesome. When Wout looks like @1sh0t1b33r getting back on the bike, you know he's laid it all out there. An amazing ride. Getting dropped on a wet 16% grade by Bardet, who weighs four pounds and is as canny as they come, was inevitable. But staying with it like that... Boom, Wout, Chainel, Vos, Ferrand Prevot, De Jong, the list of cx racers who can transition to road isn't long, but holy cats do they know how to work 🙂

You think WVA may be in mid season form right now though?
Not to take anything away from him, I'd like to see him succeed in road, but I wonder if he's got a bit of an advantage with just coming off of cross, and will fade as everyone else gets stronger.

Oh, yeah, he's screwed. No one can keep this up. He did take a coupla long breaks in the cx season. Turns out he does well after spending 2 weeks in the warmth of Spain. Go figger. I'm guessing Crelan Wiliams won't want to burn him out. At least I hope not. The Omloop weekend, he only did the Het Saturday and skipped KBK, which was a good sign. The bottom line though: he's another freakishly talented racer who's gonna do well wherever he lines up.
I think MVDP is gonna focus on xc mountain bikes again, which has got to be a relief for WVA

Well, if this proves true, we'll see a lot more roadies diving into CX this coming season.

Nah, they're too likely to get hurt. They may want to, but getting clearance from their sponsors is tough. I think Boonen talked about it a bit, after his cx-charity race a coupla years ago, but Quickstep wasn't happy. And Boom's "return" was self-funded and super-frowned upon by management.

Hence why the spring races/classics are attractive to the CX guys. Stybar is ded AF come the TDF and then usually finishes the season out strong. Forthe Belgians, there is no racing after May anyways. The season is October-April.

I don't think DG has the top-end that Sagan does and definitely not that of the TRUE sprinters... his ability lies in the fact that he gets the power up and can hold it there a LONG time. He starts his sprint early, gets out and then holds it there, as the others try (and fail) to bring him back. I wonder how long that trick will work before the other teams figure it out, time and can combat it.

Good stage today... I thought Alaphillipe was gonna send it on the final climb and then run away on the descent. He can go downhill VERY fast. He just didn't get enough gap on the climb, with Wellens on his wheel.

Sagan will just use him as a lead out and then DG will stop that haha

How is it even possible that two stage races both have TTs on the same day. You think the UCI would be like, these TTs are boring AF for the viewers so you both can’t donit
On the same day.

Anyways, Cav dies again on his head, dudeman just can’t stay upright.
