Group Ride

from their web site:

This is THE premier cycling event in scenic Bucks County. Timed each year to be held on a rain-free weekend with the gorgeous fall colors shouting out, the CBR, as our members call it, is our best event ever.

do they have some kind of vodoo to know it will be rain-free?

I spoke to a buddy of mine who did a sportif ride in Bucks county last month and we are in weather permitting. I don't want to jinx it but I hope for a beautiful day 🙂

I will be doing the metric.

Pace-wise, it sounds like there will be enough of us to allow the group to split, if needed, and everyone will still enjoy the day without :drooling:

Awesome. We'll hold hands and sing snegurochka on the way over!

I'll wear my best dress.

what kind of pace you guys looking for?

As others have mentioned there are hills involved and riding in an event such as this there will be alot of cyclists all over the road. Not looking to hammer out a driving pace line but don't want to stroll aimlessly either.
The average mph will probably be 17mph +/-.5. Guys who are more fit will attack some hills for some playful challenges but we can soft pedal at the top and regroup. We will do our best to stay together but If anyone feels they are having a tough time folks can splinter off to a more comfortable pace.
This is a group event ride and we are looking to go with the flow and have fun. Leg hair is optional.😀

just think its good to have a plan going into somethig this big...its a bit different than 5 people in the woods...thats all i ment

ugh...🙄

Hey chainsaw,

this was not aimed at you. I am out of shape as well and might be riding in the back or fall behind on my own. When there is a large group of people it is fair to break into smaller groups in similar fitness levels.

:hmmm:
do all the routes start off together on sunday? I want to include my girlfriend somehow but she won't be up for 60

are there maps of the routes?
