Back from my ride and the family is still sleeping. I think this kid knows when I'm awake so he says asleep. Good forbid I want to sleep in a little, he'll be up at 530, everytime.

I tried to ride fast and get the hour over with before it got too hot, but it still took 60 minutes...

It's funny how that works, eh?

Last year I tried going too hard, too early in the month and got burnt out. So this year I plan to go easy and go for the turtle technique.

I got two rides in yesterday - one early and one later pulling my son around in the Burley in the heat...
How was the power lines? overgrown at all? may do that tonight after work to stay off the road and go nice and slow..

From Woodland, stay right as left side closed in at top. The next section from Shunpike was closed in at top so I bypassed it on Robin Hood Lane. Otherwise Power lines were fun up until about where the white trail comes in from the swamp education center trail system. They are overgrown but rideable, but it creeped me out as I am sure they are full of ticks- I just blasted through it to try and avoid them.

Also that was the first time I rode the power lines, and it was weird for the gravel road to end on signed private property. Have you continued past that spot?

Raced DQ Summer Sizzler yesterday. no strava. But I have a results page to prove it. That may be last consecutive day I manage this month.
