As I recall Jim Vreeland did well over a century last year on a fat bike - he was on repairs duty

if i was doing this id prolly take the fatbike too. gcs can take a beating, i did 140 on the road to bear mt at the end of jan and they still look almost new

Some guys choose to race but its really not a race. There is a big mix of people doing this ride at different paces with different goals. I'm in it for the miles and beer at the end.
