Hells yeah it's important! Start the laundry or the dishwasher and hop right in the shower without thinking twice. It took me 33 years of life to obtain that little piece of luxury.

no plaster. but my plans in the bathroom actually say plaster, everywhere else it says sheetrock. bathroom was done in sheetrock though.
here's a weird one, 1960 build, the floor under the original tile was MDF. must have been super early for that. It turned to powder sometime in the 90's I think. Been walking on completely loose tiles since then.
 
walls in a bathroom were done as a plaster build-up on lath under tile - they were thicker than 1/2 sheetrock. some of the old timers
still skim coat the sheetrock rather than using a barrier or backer board. i have a couple old tile books that show it, and how they made the walls plumb
cause ya cant trust the framers! if the original sheetrock lasted 50 years, that is as good as the floor!

did you find a new valve yet? 😀

i'm off to HD for some matte black spray paint.....

And a new piece of hardibacker. haha

I'm going to tile over the sheetrock above the shower outlet. I didn't plan on tiling up there, but I think i'm going to now. So I set the spacing for .5" sheetrock instead of .4 hardi. Oh well, maybe in 80 years when the tiles fall off I'll regret it.

No, my cheapness will not allow me to run a a pump when I'm not using it.
 
No house work tonight.
I instead modified my fork with a razor blade because I can't find parts online. No pics of mods, but holy crap is it hard to find information on the 34mm CTD fox forks.
There is a new style shuttle bumper on these forks, the grey piece. The combination of the grey rubber piece and the aluminum piece next to the blue dot is what sets the fork travel. you can shorten either, or both. Luckily I have the shortest setup you can get, 140mm. So I cut 10mm out of the grey shuttle bumper and BAM, 150mm
I think I'll order a new negative spring plate and new shuttle bumpers so I can go between 150 and 160.

have you even seen realdolls yet? I fell into a rabbit hole on 4chan trying to figure out if this guy's "girlfriend" was a realdoll or a real person. There is very compelling arguments for both, and it was bugging me out. I mean he was posting high res photos. I couldn't tell if it was real or not.
I guess the Turing test is the morning after.
