Icebox Eleven

Do you think I'll die in the face if I join this ride? My Cathedral Pines race plan is not working out (more on that in another thread).

I plan on hitting this as hard as possible due to the short mileage. That said, i may seize up 2mi in and this will be a joke of a ride. Up to you..........

fer serious...what do you expect us to do if you keel over unconscious? much as i'd love to dig a hole and kick you in, there might be some tiny legal issues with that

My mother would probably be hesitant to dial 911 even if i had been out for 15 mins. I will be sure to go immediatley from standing to dead when you guys are around so there's no guilt or hard feelings:drooling:

No burry bear food...

You guys go ahead w/o me. I think I'll go ride RW an hour earlier. Sorry I can't help carry Brett's body out 😀

Sh!t, overslept. Not gonna be able to get my ass out the door in time. I'll have to miss out on this 'death march' and just do something local instead.

Got Chris and Utah. Was nice to just have a small able crew. Really had some time to push the Mamasita and try stuff out without havin to worry about what was goin on behind me. Played caboose here and there so as not to redline myself into trouble. Still feel tight in the chest on my upper end but eh, i survived. Great ride😀

Good times man! Glad we didnt have to rock pile you. Keep us posted on the next one.

Boy was I wrong!!

So in researching the tachycardia thing i found that the one that seemed to fit ,,was lets say type 4. Its a sudden fluttering jump to around 300bpm which i was confused by cause i assumed my death would occur by 180 personnally. Both Woody and Utah talked to me about how i knew my bpm levels and how could i be sure. From lookin at Utah stats i figured my not fun zone was 165ish also. I just went on feel ,sound, etc.WRONG! I do know that like Anrothar medical types always have a time finding a pulse so i had pro confirmation that my resting can get low so i borrowed a HR monitor to see what the top end was like.Today i took it out on the Weber ride. After a couple miles of railbed we hit the climb.........I was tryin but wouldn't say i was uncomfortable and i looked down to a.............203!! On the next pitch i had a 207. Most of my ride i seem to be 185-195, then as i tire out i go 175-185. I would've bet millions that it was impossible for me to go beyond 170 from judging by my "feel" method. I'm flabergasted. So 300 isn't impossible during my attacks cause 200s didn't feel that bad. Can't wait to do a test on the road bike. Anyway i survived the Bulldog hitsquad and had a good time.Thanx Kris:getsome:

dude if you HR is getting up to 300 thats BAD! Thats uber stress on your heart....Like wife sleeps with your best friends, takes your dog, your bike, and all your money...kicks you in the balls while climbing cardiac at the same time. 🙂

Really man, you need to see a cardioligist.

The 300 bpm isn't a true measure. They describe it as a flutter of the chamber that doesn't really count as a full beat. That tachy's flutter range is 250-300 and it hurts bad when it happens.Seein as 200s don't really hurt that must be what happens to me. I'd say resting 30s and tops in the 200s is pretty F'n badass. I need to step up to the next level or I'll feel like i'm wasting a genetic gift. Who knew..................

Just like your usual rambling incoherence, a high max HR is meaningless.

Happy Thanksgiving!

so where does one find a bright early ride this weekend. I hate to see IB11 officially dive till the first snow. Lets look at this as needing to get my fat like John Candy ass out there.

Bump/Update

Nothin official goin on this wknd due to all the cool kids hittin the scramble but...i have the Ultegra 6700 tubeless rims on the Tarmac and i'll be takin them out today.I'm tubed for now cause the S Works tires are a couple a months out still. TC is goin w/ the Hutchinsons on Fulcrums and i'll be Shimano on the mighty Spez(even though they're Hutch basically) so we'll have all the product out in the field.I also have my 28h signature wheel all rebuilt and popped the Gazza back to restud it since i finally got my Nokian studs and tools😀 So off to murder the Martys ride in the face........stay tuned as there will be some last minute ride for tommorrow.BTW, i couldn't get your wheels chris🙁
