IGVENTURE

So yeah, I turned 50 yesterday. 50 is just a number but when you hit that number it means your old. If we didn't track our years of life we would not have that number to tell us we are old. Oh well, I feel good so that's all that matters. I do realize I'm slowing down somewhat, I no longer have the urge to do century road rides or ride my mtb for much more then 2 hrs, with the occasional 3 hrs ride thrown in.

Maybe we should stop tracking our years of life with birthdays and calculate age by measuring sag of body parts?

I will say the one good thing about FB is getting likes on your BD. You don't have to do jack shit yet all these people post up on your page. Even if they don't give a damn about my birthday it does feel good to see the messages.

I got a mtb ride in at Hartshorne yesterday after work then went home and had dinner and a Heady with Mary. I'may kicking myself for not bringing my xc skis into work. We have 3" of snow on the ground and it's still snowing.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Getting old is a drag but I try not to think about it, I'm still healthy and my Johnson works so all is good.

I have been par taking in the ST races at the Boy Scout. This is a low stress way to ease into racing. I have to admit that racing is somewhat stressful, however once the horn blows it's go time. Once in fight mode all other thoughts are blocked out with your only focus being a 3 foot bubble around you.

I will say that racing helps me walk the line. It's easier to skip drinking on Saturday night if you have to get up early to race the next morning.

This week seemed harder then the 1st week, there was less recovery going clock wise. I finished 11th which sounds meh but looking at the big picture I am where I need to be for this time of year...also I'm old so I'm only expected to be half fast.

I made Utah's plate number, the photo earned him 3rd place in the ST Artshow.

I had to type that from my phone. I moved to a different area. Now I share an office and my boss sits within eye view of my monitor. During work hrs. I now post from phone, which kinda sucks. I am getting bethere at thumb typing doe.
Guess it was a good thing you upgraded from your flip phone. NIce that your boss lets you type on the phone all day. Or do you keep your phone below your desk and he just thinks you are playing with something under the desk?

I don'the type on my phone all day...usually.
However there must be a serious productivity drop in the work force with the amount of time spent on the Internet doing non work.

Didn't mean to imply you're not really working. I am sure you and your staff work hard, especially with having to deal with the extreme early hours, cold and hot weather, rain, etc.

Maybe get one of those privacy filter/screens for your computer monitor so your boss can't see what you're doing unless he's right behind you. I've seen people using them for their laptops on airplanes and they seem to really work well. Not sure what they cost. Tell him it cuts down on glare.
