I had that exact type of failure several times with the 12x142 alloy axle of a Hope SS specific hub. Warranty replaced twice. Once with another alloy axle, 2nd time with stainless steel. Been fine since. Supposedly was the 1st in the U.S.

Just out of curiosity, which model I9 hub is this?
At least the warranty support is solid.
Hydra, microspline, 6 bolt. October 2021, just over 3,800 miles / 400-420'ish hours
