Rent an Orbea Rise like what one of my friends did last year when we were at Bentonville. If you like it and is a size medium I have one for sale in the Bike For Sale section. That bike has been to Bentonville twice with lots of shuttle runs up The Castle and I guarantee you it is a blast. View attachment 258390
Thank you but I’m not a medium, plus I have no intention of buying an eBike right now.

What bike shop did you rent from in Bentonville?

It wasn't me that rented, it was a friend of mine. I think it was Rise and Ride.

First impression: Wow this is AMAZING!! I can’t believe how easy this feels. And it’s only in “trail” mode! I was blown away. 😮

Second impression: That was too easy. How much would I miss the grind and suffering? 🤔 Obviously I would need to ride one for a bit to get a real sense of the pros and cons. I certainly see the appeal.
This is pretty good guestimate and expected answer. Now rent or borrow one for full ride with a group of emtbers faster then you and come back with those impressions. My money will be on much different impressions. My heart rate zones are pretty much on point as a muscle bike except the most high. Avg is the same. To the people who say go eco for fitness, that's just BS, you can get that heart rate up in turbo it's all in how fast you want to go. Personally only use turbo for the ridiculously steep. More time on and you learn how to ride these while still getting something out of them. Riding with a group of strong riders makes a world of difference. To the folks who say I tried one a few times and find them as cheating your fitness, I'm sorry but that's just bullshit. There doing it wrong.

Been waiting for information on the new gen 4 specialized Levo…. Starting to see shots on some of the euro forums …. Here are a couple pics

Looks like no more support next to the shock and a side load battery. It’s 48 a volt system and the motor no longer has a belt. The power numbers look close to the new dji motor and it looks like there will be different battery size options. The top tube monitor is larger as well.. now that Yamaha is buying Brose who knows what will happen.

210x55? Crap, I hate that shock size. So hard to up shock the bike. You can try a 8.5x2.5 but it’s 6mm longer. Hopefully Cascade components will come to the rescue.
Offset bushings. That's what I did on my Rise. Not sure if it'll work with any bike but the Rise is spec'd with 210x55 and with these bushings allows it to go with a longer shock. Just need to make sure your suspension linkages will clear 6mm more travel.

I took a Quick Look at Yamaha's website this morning, a $4800 Moro is eligible for a $2800 rebate. $2000 final cost.

Not sure if you find one locally and Yamaha doesn't have the same recognition as Pivot or Yeti, but it sounds like a heck of a deal.

I’m not at work but sat in with the developers for the Levo4 launch. It does a lot of things. With the Range Extender you’ll get 1,000 w/hr capacity and 8ish hours of ride time in Trail Mode. Can be toggled between Class1 and 3 to commute to the trail head. In my case I could ride to Chimney Rock faster than driving, do a 6-hour ride, and ride home? Nutty. The wireless AXS system is also hardwired into the bike so you never have to charge it or worry about it dying…It drops for real tomorrow and we already have them at the shop. At least we’re supposed to, I’m not there to confirm.

Since I can't get one cheap anymore I guess I'll have to wait until the economy collapses to pick one up. So, probably mid-summer.

My riding buddy bought a Yamaha Moro 05 for $2300 shipped. Great trail bike, the Yamaha auto select lets him run the same mileage with a 500wh as my Kenevo with a 700 wh battery .

If my math is correct with the tariffs, the S-Works will go up 2k after this initial drop. Should probably get my portfolio updated in case I need to switch careers, oh wait AI took those jobs already 🤷

I first read this thinking it's a silly need of yours. Then remembered I got frustrated on my bike as 210x57.5 would theoretically work with enough clearance but obviously I can't do that.

Yeah. ChatGPT was able to create a Sleepy Saws Snow White In Half request in like 8 seconds.

Actually, never mind. You still have a career path:

Those deals are long gone some time last year before Yamaha ebikes pulled out of the US. You will find them out there but people or dealers want more and don't expect much support down the road. It was an even better deal when they offered an extra battery, but I couldn't pull the trigger as I wasn't looking for a 27.5 setup

Maybe, just fill out a request on the Yamaha site, there are a bunch left in the dealerships around the country.
