sections get worse and worse and we dont' really notice. Sometimes they get real bad and require some repair. By next year it'll look like it normally does.
It's a volunteer effort. And neither of us volunteered yesterday. So really I can't complain.
I think some folks are over-reacting to a couple smoothed out sections on Otter-slide. I rode JH last week and noticed it, but considering how much other good work is being done there, I can't imagine raising such a stink over a couple smoothed out sections on 1 trail. Even if you do show up to volunteer, that doesn't mean the trails will all be built exactly how YOU want them.
I think anyone that is riding a 29er should not complain about trails be smooth. I was talking with a clown on a full squish 9er a couple weekends ago and he was going on about the same crap....I told him to get a non squish 26er single speed and see if the trails were to easy........ :hmmm:
how are conditions for tomorrow... Tues ... or Possible Wed ride? I was looking to head up there tomorrow all day with some buddy's that fly in from the west.. figured I would start off with Jungle this week... hehe.
I was at ringwood on Friday and there was a little snow here and there. Not sure what that means for jungle. Hopefully it's similar cause I'm planning to go up there Monday.
i was there today. rode everything except dump truck. some water at the bottom of hippo, and lower chute is a bit beat up at the beginning. other than that some light snow, no mud, and fun. i would advise riding earlier rather than later, especially if the temps rise.
Just got home from there it was cold🙄 and some ice but it wasnt to bad, and very light cover of frost is some areas. I did some remolding accidentally in fish when I hit and took down a small tree 🙁 sorry if anyone hits that stump.
Got out this morning - conditions were amazing!. There are definitely some icy patches but very easy to see them today. Please note that this will be very different once the Snow Covers it - so be aware that there will be Ice Under that Snow. There were some very icy patches on the exposed rock sections of Baboon so if you do go out after the snow just be aware of it.
Yep - plenty of trail to ride there without any ice. Warthog had a few icy patches, but nothing you can't coast over. Boon had some nasty ice patches on some of the rock faces - Very easy to hike-a-bike around the ice if you're looking ahead.
