Lewis Morris Conditions

Surprisingly wet as of 6pm yesterday, windy today so It should dry out. Tried to move as much debris as possible but keep an eye out. On orange, there is a low tree if you are tall. White Ext is open and Trailforks is pending approval. It rides well in both directions but I prefer to come from the blue dot on the map I attached.

The trail we worked on Saturday is not open yet. Very soft still.

New white trail extension is great, just like new orange. To state the obvious, trails are super dry and leafy. Most trails are well tamped down and easy to follow but white extension was the worst leaf-wise. Needs more riders!

White extension is really nice. Can't wait to ride it when the leaves are gone. Speaking of leaves, Lewis Morris is one of the better spots in the area right now as the leaves are generally packed down.

Does anyone have any word on conditions for today? Is freeze thaw in full effect up there? Don't want to make a 45-minute trip to find out it's a disaster to ride. Thanks in advance.

I haven’t ridden after the rain but am fairly certain it will be very wet but probably not muddy. Weekend should be better especially with the wind. I suggest you wait for a trail report. Dickerson Mine is the place to go right after a rain. It should be fine.

You should be fine. Lewmo drains well and the ground is taking all the moisture quickly. It's also been windy so that helps. It did not drop below freezing here yet. This afternoon will be great.

Anyone riding fat bikes here? Curious about snow coverage/condition. I’m guessing a lot more foot traffic (postholing) here in the winter?
