Art and I have moved back to Ringwood for trail work. Parking Lot C will be closed for a week starting tomorrow. We will be addressing some erosion issues near the parking lot. Part of that involves closing some old eroded roads and creating a sustainable trail that climbs up out of the parking lot. Observing DEC timelines, we are now cleared to begin work. The new trail is roughed in. Leo and Steve found a worthy rock for a bridge. That is now moved close to where it can be used. It is amazing what can be moved by a few people with the right tools.
My new favorite tool: 6 pound sledge with 36 inch handle. Pixy can smash rocks like never before, and if she sets it down, strong guys will grab it cause they can smash all day with a 6 pounder.
I went for a ride today and was real tired. After multiple days off from rain, I tried to catch up with work and riding, but I may need a another complete day off everything tomorrow. Not sure why I have been tired, but I try to listen to my body.
....and my ripening figs have been AWESOME tasty !
