Nassau Trails - partial closure

Yes it is still closed.
Both technically and actually.

it is not policed, but I would suspect each and every rider is reported.
So are we collectively respecting the closure at the request of the people who really didn't want it closed?

On the progress front, there has technically been advances, but actually nothing has changed (until it is completed)
Thanks for clearing that up...

I saw a post on FB that there is a trail cam set up on a tree. From the photo, it looked pretty sophisticated.
There is a lot of confusion around the trails and the signs are down....assuming bikers took them down.
Even locals you talk to aren't sure about the status. Best to stay off the trails until hopefully this gets cleared up.

from the top of the field on the south side of Nassau road, to the spring side crossover into the smaller lot is closed to mtb.
Sure there is another connection back there somewhere, but that is basically it.
Trail forks has it right.

What is a hidden trail camera going to do if the signs are down? 🤷

First time back here since the closure. I went through two of the switchbacks on SS, no signage at all, so I figured I best not tempt fate and turned back. In fairness, I ended up there thinking there was a L turn out of there back to the connector (like I said, it's been a minute).

Did a trail run there tonight. All signage has been torn down. Even the sign at the lower Nassau Trail. There use to be a large sign by this lot stating trails closed, but it is gone. Being I was trail running I did go up the trail from that lot and ran up to where the trail maintenance box was at to see all the signs removed. Now the signs on the trees are easy for anyone to rip down. But the big sign I think would have been a bit harder to just tear down.

Were the Jersey barriers removed?

Just came across this post. We have never been to Nassau trail and me and my buddies were planning to go for a ride at this place and start at the x at the bottom and make our way back to the Jump trail and back again. Should we be OK cause I'm assuming it is the top half of the Nassau trail that is closed (and I guess not showing in trailforks anyway)?

You'll be fine with the circled section. Enjoy!

Closed to MTB area is straight north of your X outside the circle.

Just looking more on the trails in that area. Is this whole section still open as well? I think we want to start there instead since we can hit that Jump Trail and Side Winder and then hit Nassau Connector to cross over.

yes, it's the dotted lines just above sidewinder that represent the closed section if I'm not mistaken
