Whatsup everyone? I just signed up after lurking for a couple months. I started riding again in August (I Rode BMX for years growing up and in High School). I picked up a Specialized Rockhopper and I can't get enough. Mountain Biking has finally provided me with the perfect hobby to compliment snowboarding in the winter.

I've been able to ride at least a dozen area trails multiple times so far and I am looking forward to checking out even more. This site has been an invaluable source of information as far as ride ideas and maps, so thanks all for that, hopefully I can start contributing as well.

So without dragging this out any further, I'll just drop a picture from my ride during yesterday's beautiful weather. -Chris

That is an awesome bike to restart on. I love mine and still ride it even though I upgraded a few times.
Get some clipless pedals and shoes, being clipped in is the greatest invention on earth.
 
gtluke, Yeah I got the rockhopper used off craigslist and its awesome. It rides great and has handled a lot of abuse. Clipless pedals are #1 on my list already. I'm getting tired of slipping off my pedals on the rough sections.

pixy, it was my first time at ringwood, great place, It will definitely be added to my regular rotation or riding spots.

I'm down at Rutgers too. Cook college graduate program...you don't happen to be the guy that I helped set up the internet in September? I kind of remember him having a rockhopper and it looking awesome.
