Saturday Our office sponsors a charity ride every year. Ever year I wasn't able to make it. This time I was. Mandi was suppose to come, but still has a nasty cough and wasn't up for it. I rolled out solo, afraid of what i would find. There was maybe 20-25 people doing the 63 mile one. I was worried this would turn into a sufferfest; for my brain. I didn't want to be alone for that long. Thankfully, the skies parted and I see one of the greatest things I would see all day;
Madness and his crew.
I run up to him and say "I'm so happy to see you". I could have hugged him.
Eventually, the 4 of us head out and ride at a nice social pace. The last time I was on a bicycle for more than 2 hours was at the Stoopid 50. Smashed some ice cream and oatmeal cookies before I headed home.
The rest of the day was spent eagerly checking our phones on the offer/counteroffer we placed on our house. We received a screenshot from Lance that they accepted and we are onto the next phase. WOOOO. Pricing out all the crap we will have to do before we move in is scary, but it will be nice to move into a place that will feel brand new. Time, time time. We celebrated by using a gift card we got from Christmas last year from Mandis grandparents to Outback. Mmmmm, beef.
Sunday in photos:
Capers phone takes really awesome pictures
How you fix a flat when you are a mountain biker
flatted so hard, Young Rob's Clif Bar patch wouldn't hold this
Got pizza afterwards, someone had to drop a dookie so hard they broke the seat
Bill was smokin beef and chicken and drankin all day, so we chilled by the fire. Lou and I got froyo and shit.
