post your century rides.

Did the same century as last week from Jersey City to top of Bear Mtn and back 105 miles on Saturday. The weather was perfect. I don't think I'll attempt this in 90F. This time I went with a buddy and it was much easier. I gotta try this Buckberg Rd next time that I heard about at LBS.

I am thinking about doing this ride again on 6/11 Sat. If anyone wants to join just PM me. It goes without saying that you should have a good base and be able to do at least 60 miles solo; looking to get it done under 7 hrs. Usually stop 4 times for water/gatorade, 2-5 min each. This time I will be doing the river road on the way up there so looking at 8000-9000 ft of climbing for the day.

do you have a garmin for this? If not can you pm me the route you took?

As a self-proclaimed Fan of Walter on FB, I find it hard to believe you'd ever make 100. I mean, thinking that after about 40 or so you'd be either in the burger joint or the bar, or both.

We've been wanting to ride to LBI since last spring...never got it together

My sister lives on LBI, that was the destination. I figured it would an easy 100+, its all down hill.

I have it routed out, just run into some logistical issues. One being transportation. When I first started kicking this around it was me, Dusty Trombone, Cream Cheese Capers, Pearl and Dana. If we put it together now that crew would certainly double easily. My sister is willing to host whoever makes the ride and Nicole is willing to have everyone stay/leave from here. The problem comes up when its time to come home, we would need a bunch of vehicles to get us all back here. Small issues I know, but I need to hash it out and have everyone on board.
