listen up homies! you looking for a not so strong Pumpkin beer? look no further....Harpoon UFO unfiltered pumpkin is for you. IMO most pumpkin ales have a way strong pumpkin taste..like a one and done taste. try it and if you disagree I'll not not post about anything ever again

Tons of people have recommended the southern tier to me.

So I really am just starting to try the pumpkin this year. I have had river horse, weyebacher and brewworks. they are nothing like the southern tier version.

maybe someone can chime in. i still need to get my hands on a few more. dog fish head namely.
 
The DFH is my favorite so far. I heard weybacher is where its at...
I put out the question on fb last night. I got some decent recommendations.
 
I'll take anyone's Southern Tier Pumking if unwanted. 🙂

My preference:

Southern Tier, Weyerbacher and a distant 3rd, DFH.
 
I tried a weyerbacher the other day and couldnt finish it they used to much of some spice. It made me nauseous. DFH is pretty good but I haven't had it since last year. I think the River Horse Hippo Lantern is my favorite so far.
 
I'm excited for the pumpkin beers - we have been enjoying IPAs since the contest started...

I need to pick up the DFH...I was excited about the UFO, but then remembered their beers are unfiltered...and for some reason I don't do well with unfiltered beers :cry:
 
If you like mellow pumpkin beers try the Smuttynose and Dogfish Head, good stuff! Smuttynose is on tap at the Office. The Brooklyn Oktoberfest is worth a try too.
 
just before we go too crazy...octoberfests are not pumpkin ales. two diff genres of beer.

AND I love me some octoberfest
 
This southern tier is disgusting. Really awful. Prebish owes me 5 bucks.
 
I've tried several pumpkin beers, and I thought they all sucked so I don't bother trying any more. I just roll into the octoberfests for the fall season. Well IPAs this fall 🙄
