Question is this normal.

is the crank arm bent and hitting the chain stay? thats a loud noise.
If its as simple as Norms video you should be beaten😀

No you will see its when I am getting on the crank like I said I am not slamming it.
When I was riding the bike you can hear it, and feel it. Like I said it might just be me. Just never felt this kinda play before...

is the stand just tapping against the hard wood floors????

I don't know, shoulda bought a single speed hard tail:popcorn:

Ok went riding today.
It started to bang, when starting out, then was doing some lite jumps.
Bunny hops so on, then the banging stop, the slack or delay stopped.

Could this be a sign that there is a problem with the rear hub?
Sent an email to GF support with the link to the video see what they say.
Still concerns me.:hmmm:

Even my wife notice the bike was not banging. Got on it hard and fast as I could on the trail nothing...

What about taking it back to the shop you got it from... those guys should be able to figure it out. The bike is new, they should take care of you.

ditto or take it to a new bike shop there are plenty around, and when you find one that is good to you they will answer all the stupid questions in the world
and more importantly fix them

The shop I bought this from name will be unsaid, did not set up the bike right.
So why bring it back?😡

I have bringing all my bikes to Halter's, but if this becomes a warranty issue, I'm guessing that it would have to go to a Trek dealer. I think Jay capped me to only 50 dumb question a visit, if I go over there is a charge.😉

Nice dumb question🙄

take it to a shop. Dont email support.. this isnt an iPod.. its a bike.
In the end they will end up having you take it to a shop anyway.

I agree with WarCrickets diagnosis BTW..

Well Brought the rim to the GF dealer around the coner, and he told me this is normal for this hub, showed me 2 other HIFI Plus they did the same thing. Wow this hub stinks...

Ride it until it blows up and then replace it. OEM hubs are not the greatest to begin with and you're not climbing up Mt Everest yet so don't fret too much about it.

Update.
Trek Bicycle Corporation called me this morin, we were on the phone for about an 1/2 to 45 minutes talking about the video's. Looks like they want to check out the whole bike not just the wheels. So it looks like it will be going to High Gear Cyclery, in Stirling, Rone Lewis shop where he is at.

So will keep you up to date, told them I am all ready have purchased a new set of wheels. So we will see were we go from here. 🙂
