Well it’s that time of the year again.

Has anyone been here recently and if so, how is it? I’m really asking about trees down. Are they still blocking the boat launch lot?
I rode from the boat launch lot last week. I don't recall any trees down, but I only got as far as the top of the big hill after the dam before I had to turn around.

So the gate is open?

Good to know that it is clear to the top of puke hill.

I think the report "along the rock wall" is the cushetunk trail below the ridge Cush Mt Preserve.
There are so many dead Ash....

And I know the eagle trail is a mess (Robin) -

I don't know what gate you are asking about but I didn't have to climb over any gates.

between the boat launch parking lot and the trail system across the dam/weir/whatever that thing is that separates the swim area from the res.

I was there for that. I’m pretty sure IMBA would rate that as sketchy at best. Maybe someone could get the gnomess to cut the trees of the trail.

Fixed. Equally as mysterious tho. kinda the opposite, you see what they do, but never see them.....

Not sure, but Bink was there 2.17 and said there was a lot of ice and studs were needed.

Based on my Tuesday recon of local trails, the north facing slopes at RV are probably very icy.

Start at Cush, not the South Lot - the trail from the SL through the scout camp sucks when it is wet.
I really should go take a hike!

I hiked over the saddle today and on the way down into RV, there is a tree across the dh at the 4 way intersection with the red trail.
take the left fork on the way down to avoid it. I didn't want to waste the battery on something only kinda in the way.

The red trail towards the roller coaster had some snow in the shadows.
Otherwise the south-west facing side looked ok.
The eagle trail was clear of snow.

I managed to clear all of the trees up to the split to the parking lot trail except for this one.
(again, what was I thinking going back to the parking lot that way - the climb sucks, and the descent is worse.)

This might need @Fire Lord Jim as a team-up.

I got the two reasonable size ones - and they finished the battery - last couple of cuts with the silky to clear it.

There is a go-around on the high side - but it kinda sucks, so i'd like to get this done - maybe Thursday, and then finish the trail.
Can def get under this with a 007 slide move.
