Went to the Toms River Home Depot to contribute to the fund for Chris. They are out of the "keep pedaling Chris" bracelets, but they confirmed they have more on order and they should be in this week. They are selling them for $3 and all the sale money is going into the "Homer Fund" for Chris. In case you missed my earlier post, all money collected in the Homer Fund for Chris gets matched by the company. So if you donate $100, Home Depot also contributes and matches that amount, and Chris gets $200.

I (or a buddy of mine) will be contacting the store in a couple days to check on bracelets. I will try to get extras, if anyone is interested let me know.

If you are in the Toms River area and want to contribute that way, please feel free to see any manager, or contact me if you wish.

Can mike take the money from the crowd-rise fundraiser and put it toward this "homer fund"?

When do donations have to be given by for the Homer fund? There's an Allaire TM scheduled for this coming sunday... maybe we can take a collection there and have someone run it down to Home Depot?

All,
Just wanted to thank and let everyone know the fund has been closed and as soon as the last transfer is done a check for the full amount will be dropped off to Chris's family.
Thanks for all the support on this I am sure his family will appreciate the out pouring from all of his friends.

I called and talked to manager and was told they're only matching Home Depot employees donations. I'm in for crowd-wise, homer, or the MS fund Chris had ridden $2500 for this year.
Small world, guy came by for guitar lesson and, knowing I was a cyclist asked if I heard about the accident. Turned out it was his business's charity Chris was riding for that day. He was devastated. Schilling touched many lives.

Hey everyone I am going to reopen this a bit longer I sent an email off to the CroudRise admins to reopen it stay tuned...
Mark,
I am always surprised on just how small of a world it is.

I called Toms River Home Depot. They are still running the Homer Fund, but technically are supposed to match only employee donations. The fella I spoke to (Tom) did confirm they have more bracelets available and all funds from selling them will go to the Homer Fund. I will be driving down there tomorrow afternoon to pick up a few.
