I hear you but I would say this is a good time to wear a mask and keep as much of those nasty particle out of your lungs-although at this point, it's already too late. Most of the smoke might be gone by this evening.

No mask other than a full on respirator is going to filter out fine smoke. These masks held on by a couple of rubber straps are more to minimize you from spitting your germs all over everyone when you sneeze.

That's eventually what the fire departments are going to transition to when they run into burning buildings, lighter than those full respirators. More lighter = more better. Its also good to use when you feel like robbing a liquor store.
