You can wax foam boards. Make sure you get the right wax rating for the water temp. Colder water = softer wax, warmer water = more dense wax. It's on the label. We have a flounder pounder that's seen a lot of kids ride it, and its been waxed from day 1. Foamies require way less wax than a glassed or epoxy board though.
Awesome. Spend this summer maximizing her hours in the water to build muscle memory for paddling. It can take weeks/months to transition from getting pushed in to paddling in solo, and then more time as she moves to shorter boards. The younger the better for this magic time of learning.
Dolphin. But whale sightings have been up over the last several years.
I wore a 4/3, no hood or gloves but I did wear boots. Was breezy and chilly with some rain here and there and I was comfy for close to a 3hr session like this. The water temp isnt too bad yet….guessing upper 50’s. Probably could have been ok in a decent 3/2, but my 3/2 is trash. I was surprised that some were wearing hoods.
