Not going to lie - I hate Trumps mouth at times - with this what appears to be his policy too.
Zelenskyy still has almost 70% approval rating in Ukraine to my knowledge. It was almost 90% a few years back, I think the big factor that changed it was a change in military leadership. Still, that is incredible.

President Donald Trump blasted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a "dictator without elections" on Wednesday, after the U.S. left Ukraine out of initial peace talks with Russia this week.
"A Dictator without Elections, Zelenskyy better move fast or he is not going to have a Country left," Trump wrote on TRUTH Social. "In the meantime, we are successfully negotiating an end to the War with Russia, something all admit only ‘TRUMP,’ and the Trump Administration, can do. Biden never tried, Europe has failed to bring Peace, and Zelenskyy probably wants to keep the ‘gravy train’ going."
This is a snip of the deal that Trump offered Zelensky....which Zelensky quickly rejected...Trump is not asking for this, he is demanding it
So basically.....After holding off the Russians for 3 years with nothing more than old hand me down weapons and artillery shells...causing approx 1 million Russian causalities (Trump is saying 1.5m and not sure how that happened if all the money was stolen) The plan is now to take half of everything the Ukraine makes AND offer no security guarantees.....I mean to say im embarrassed to be an American today is an understatement. King George the V would be proud of this offer. I mean to think about that.....Ukraine was invaded without provocation...Russia has violated every internationally recognized law of warfare....Targeting civilians every single day with drones, cruise missiles, rockets and artillery.....destroying power plants in an effort to make the population freeze.....destroying ports and their grain supplies.....kidnapping children, killing prisoners......And now WE are not only siding with Russia, we want to take their resources....Im mean this just fucking gross.
Thinking about logically....Like what is the end game here really? Make them this offer knowing they would have to reject it.....Meantime they are talking with Putin...we know what Putin wants and has always wanted and that is Kiev and the whole of Ukraine. So Trump made his offer, Ukraine rejected it...now Trump has been on a mission to slam Zelensky......I think shortly he will just cut off all funding and allow Putin to continue his goal of taking over all of Ukraine.
Which still wont be easy....We give the Ukraine about 50% of the arms they are using....I mean they will take a hit im sure, but I think they will be able to fight in a defensive role for a long time yet....and currently the Russians are losing between 1000-1500 troops everyday....But Trump and Putin are probably banking on the US and Russia undermining Zelensky to the point that he would have to either make some terrible deal, or give up power.

The reply from the government will be that this is what our voters voted for. Trump ran on ending the war in one day. He never said he had any interest in helping Ukraine or democracy in general. All the voters knew he has always been pro Putin and this is what the voters wanted. MAGA.
