Did that a bunch of times before I bought a ski helmet. Ski helmets do a great job keeping your head warm with out all the extra junk you have to put on in the cold with a bike helmet.
Riding up to the spire fire road at aeroflex and i'm getting to the top feeling motivated and two off leash dogs start barking and running in front of me. I wasn't planning on slowing down and didn't.
The dog watcher tells me "don't run over my dogs". I don't plan on doing anything different next time.

I am a dog owner but please keep dogs on a leash.

I am a dog owner and trainer and it’s 100% the owners responsibility to keep the dog on a leash when required.
I’m not a Ken but when I see off leash dogs all the time on Columbia trail I remind the owners to read the sign at every trailhead that it’s the law.
I would NEVER intentionally hurt a dog but if an irresponsible dog owner has their dog off leash and it threatens my safety (dog attacking or getting in my path on the bike) i will take whatever defensive actions needed to protect myself and if this means the dog might get the brunt of it that’s unfortunate.
I know it sounds agressive and Not trying to be a d*ck and yes it’s not the dogs fault they have an ahole for an owner but that’s how it goes.

Had to come to a complete stop once because a couple and their three off leash dogs were blocking the way. They got two of them by the collar (big German Shepherd and a big mix breed) but the doberman charged me. I turned the front wheel of the bike to block him but he stopped well in front of me. The couple were mortified. I was polite but might not have been if I got bit.

I once had a patient - small-breed dog - that got rolled over by a kid's bike wheel - I can only imagine how much damage my 200lbs on my 35lb bike would have done at speed. Pulmonary contusions are a bad way to die. Ventilated him for two days before he arrested.
I also stopped short and went over my bars because of a dog once. My collarbone survived but I cracked 2 ribs. Dog owner ran off without even stopping to see if I was ok. Asshole.
Leash your damn dog. I don't care how "well-trained" you think he is. (Generic "you," not anyone in particular.) The law doesn't say he has to be on-leash "unless he's the goodest boi."

Frontier Airlines first delaying your 6:59pm NYE flight from PBI to PHL to 8:30pm. Then to 10pm. Rental car needs to be returned by 6:15pm.
At terminal to check 1 bag and see several agitated people being told their flight to Trenton is cancelled but PHL is still a go. Our turn to check in and now we're told it was just cancelled. Start making alternate plans and the employee runs over to tell us it's not cancelled. Check our bag and head to the gate. Having beer and pizza at a small bar because Chili's closed at 7:30. Check on flightaware.com that our plane is in the air from Islip, NY and on time. At 9:30, bartender informs us the flight is now cancelled because the flight crew has reached there time limit and no crew to relieve them.
Flight is rescheduled for noon NYD, we got an Uber to a nearby hotel and still here. Getting ready to head out for the airport again.

I've had plenty of incidents but the only time I've been bit was walking into the Mountain Creek lodge because the woman was taking a picture of flowers next to the door. Dog was on a leash too...just not paying attention.
The time I was bit the owner was so far behind the dog that he never saw anything. He came around the turn and saw me blocking the dog with my bike. What makes me nervous is that the dog looked totally friendly. I stopped, it looked like it was going to sniff then just snapped at my leg. Ripped my pants and drew blood. Spent the day at Medimerge, just in case.
Finally broke down and ordered a new Laptop from Lenovo on the 30th with an ETA of tomorrow. After I pushed the button the date changed to the 4th. No big deal. Today I get an email that there is a delay and should ship within 30 days. F that. Hit the button to cancel and receive an email that it may be too late to cancel. They charged CC already.
dispute the charge - they are not supposed to charge until it ships.
I figure the charge will be reversed within a few days if this isn't shipping. So I'll wait and give them till next week.
Did they actually charge or it was only an authorization? That should automatically expire after a few days if the goods don’t ship. Unfortunately though, I’m aware of some retailers charging once availability is confirmed, which is wrong because available in the system doesn’t mean it will ship timely…

They refunded it a few hours later. So all good, except no new laptop.
