Things that make you frown :(

Dropped the car at the shop because of a metallic grinding noise coming from the front wheel and the annual winter tires swap (you're welcome to those that wanted the snow to never happen again, and sorry I was a little late this year). I suspected either the front brakes or bearings...turns out the rear brake needed new pads/rotors and one of the front rotor was rubbing against the dust shiled (which was causing the noise, go figure how that happened)...but the oil filter housing leaks oil, so I'm poing to be $1K poorer soon!

I drove past this as police were arriving yesterday. He was still lying in the roadway with his friends at his side. They were all on high end road bikes. I was hoping for a better outcome.

Eyes up, people.

I thought it was a motorcyclist at first.

Ugh, and I think we all can understand how this happens.

I have a friend who was pushing hard up a hill on his road bike and broke his nose hitting the back of a parked FedEx van.

I could see it. These guys were on expensive bikes, were kitted out, and looked fast. Maybe he took a pull off the front, tucked his head, and broke his neck. I knew he didn't get run over as a TT will split you in two. I initially thought it was a medical, CPR. He was starfished out, face up, behind the TT, no movement. No obvious injury to him and I wondered why the cops weren't doing CPR or at least holding C Spine precautions. If I was solo, I would have stopped but I was working.
