Yeah everything gets painted the same color as the house except for the Enphase and Tesla boxes. It's basically a double system with 68 panels and two Tesla batteries. It would have been cleaner if we put the batteries in the garage (the Tesla controller would go inside too) but didn't want that. There is no way for a solar system to look good. It'll get hidden by landscaping anyway.

Yep if you think your house has to look perfect, solar is not for you. Obviously we don't care. The guy I ride with across the street thinks all solar systems look terrible - to each his own. Function over form.

After 59 days the middle son (21) has returned from his latest road tour as Lighting designer/director.

While we missed him for thanksgiving (first time we were not all together as a family) glad he’s back in time for the rest of the holiday season.

Electricity is flowing - fully commissioned and passed final inspection. Powerwalls are shut off until a bidirectional meter is installed by FPL in 2 weeks but at least now powering most of the house
