Things that make you smile :)

That feeling when you find something you been looking for. Accidentally finding one of my missing neck gaiters after 2 months when searching for snow gloves - I must have used it last winter for a dog walk or something.

Also after buying my rower at a steal of a price in march 2022 it’s been in my side of the 2 car garage. This led to my side of garage being piled with more stuff and my car always outside (partially my fault for collecting too much crap). Well this recent snowstorm kicked things into high gear since now I have a 3rd driver in the house and 4 cars outside. From Wednesday night Right up to Saturday morning was cleaning and finally got my car back inside. I did have to move one bike to the basement for now but basement cleanup reorg is on the list next for this coming weekend. And yes the back of the garage and workbench is also a mess- that’s on the list too.

Was nice to pull out of the garage again this morning and the car isnt freezing. Will be nicer to also go in and out of the garage when it rains this week and stay dry.

I need a Xanax after seeing that garage pic.
My mind blocked out the mess.

But did make me think that if you're an architect or builder and you put poles in the middle of the garage where doors need to open you should lose your business license.

My father recently had his entire garage re-done with beams across the top to remove the posts preventing him from opening the door of his Sunday driver.

does the post look like an afterthought? look at the base.
Concrete looks different.
i'll fix it with a sawzall,

I have the same annoying post in the middle of my garage which is just always in the way. Got an estimate from this company to laminate on a piece of steel to the existing beam and remove the post:

Haven't pulled the trigger yet, but one of these days...

bought it this way. all the model houses in this development are the same. its possible it was repaired before I bought this house in 2003. This whole development is from 1969-1971.

would love to do this when I have disposable income and retire - probably right around age 197.

Changed my mind. Builder should be shot.

I should ask my brother if he has the poles as he's in the neighborhood and probably same builder. There's no way he has them between his '57 Chevy and '66 Biscayne.
haha - I remember posting his Blue Biscayne/drag car here years ago and you were like - thats my brother.

off the top of my head I dont know if he has the same model house I do. but if he has 2 car garage it likely has the pole unless he removed it after he bought it.
