Where does it get sent to? A .gov DNA database somewhere?
Just being cynical like my previous posts.
Results? Same as now, the tests will be done locally and reported to the state and CDC

I meant the swabs. I thought the kits included a swab and tube, then you send it with your name/SS# to someplace where they test for corona and place your DNA on file. Results? Same as now, the tests will be done locally and reported to the state and CDC

My wife has been trail running with the dog and all sorts of people have been petting him to where she has to awkwardly ask them to stop. Like, WTF people?
Went to target for food and diapers and stuff. First time out in a while and it freaked me out. We should be set for at least 3 weeks easy right now, more if we had to.
Just in the news today, Abbott 5 minute test approved by FDA. Don't think it's a good idea to have home testing right now - people will test, say "I don't have it so I can do whatever"

This would be helpful, 5 day turn around is too long to wait.Just in the news today, Abbott 5 minute test approved by FDA. Don't think it's a good idea to have home testing right now - people will test, say "I don't have it so I can do whatever"

My hospital system is doing up to 200 tests a day with results in less than 24hrs.it does look straighter - the state by state report shows some wild differences by area.
wonder what removing NY/NJ would show for the rest of the country?
the testing thing is interesting. Would it define safe zones? Or leper colonies?
certainly id people asymptomatic or very mild would help them isolate - to prevent spread.
the other test would be for anti-bodies - had it, done with it (at least we think)

Sorry to hear that.My brother's best friend's dad passed away due to Coronavirus. This shit is starting to get close now and I don't like it...
Beat me to it. Dammit.I mean I agree, but what does this have to do with CV-19?
Probably a more conservative...ok no never mind. Just say no to politics.
The resemblance....Man this quarantining is taking much longer then I thought.

I'd rather get tested by @pooriggy than look at y'alls asses.I heard that the 5 min tests are rectal swabs. @pooriggy volunteered to test all of Team MTBNJ.
So 2 things.
First is this, which I read today: "We need a faster testing process. Can't wait 5 days as it is now. Other countries now also have home tests. We should do the same" - doesn't matter who said this but for those of you following closely, does such a thing exist and if so, what are the barriers for making that available in the US?
Second is that the cases in the US graph is looking a lot more linear than exponential right now:

Likely looks linear as we are 'testing limited' I thought I saw earlier today that NJ tests are more than 30% positive ( which make sense as they are doing lots of this testing in the hospital with patients who look like they have CV-19 ) testing who has put at massive scale and testing who had it and recovered will mean millions of tests in NJ over the next six months....
I'm more of a plum tree, but no offense taken. Night night...Night Night birches (I say that lovingly).
You need to calm yourself down in a more healthy way. Alcohol is not the answer.Last night I tried to get to sleep without drinking half a bottle of bourbon. Woke up at 3am and had Coronavirus on the brain until about 5:30 am.
Tonight I say fuck it. Polished off about 8oz of Kentucky’s finest and just did a shot of NyQuil.
Fuck you Coronavirus. Night Night birches (I say that lovingly).
