Trails open for business!

I think jdog just finished installing the heaters along the trail so we should be good to go in about an hour.

Nobody wants to fess'up? I saw a packed lot on the canal side on the way to Halters. Somebody must have been there....

So if I were to head out w/ a chainsaw this am, where should I head 1st??

I just got a report that conditions are good to go.

Hit it up and post back trouble spots.

Did a little ride this afternoon with Beth & Dog.

Took blue from the canal lot to where it meets red, and then red back to canal. Conditions were real good. Dragged a few trees and branches off the trail, so that loop is now almost totally clear. There was just one tree too big for me to move: on red, about 1/4 mile before we popped out on canal road.

Big props to Jay & rest of the TM crew! - the trails held up real well over the winter, including the newest reroutes.

Rode there this morning from 27 lot and there are some BIG trees down on both the Red and Orange. The concrete bridge is totally blocked. The trails themselves seemed to be in good shape overall.

When are we doing some trail maintenance jay? I can join as long as it's on a weekend. 🙂 you guys like to do it during the day during the week and I can't join you guys

Clean up on isle 4.....

Let me know when you want to get after the trails. I am up for any AM any day until the PI blooms. And they I am all for DDT at six mile!

DDT would be good for killing insects but won't do anything to defoliate PI. You would need to apply glyphosate or agent orange to control PI.
There will be a quiz on this next Tuesday.

We rode 6m for the 1st time this weekend. I was expecting fewer soft spots, but we didnt hit them until we got near the canal, so sorry for riding throught that crap. Anyways, what an awesome park, really great job done by those who maintain the place. Although some of the rollers could be spaced better so they can be doubled.

I would like to offer insight as to the creepy sightings of people naked and praying out there. They may have to travel to get good trails like that, which was our case. You see, its not unusual for people to get down on one knee and pray for dirt like that. I really thought nothing of stripping down to my chamois(yes I have one of them) and praying that the next rain storm would dump 32 inches of that dirt on Allaire.

Anyways, great place, great trails!!

Good to hear that you finally made it over for a ride.

I am always down for weekday morning trail sculpting. Just give me a few days notice.
