Tuesday Beginner Rides 2012

Sorry Frank for the disappointment. We will have to try harder. We are only beginners ya know.🙂 Thanks Chris for leading the ride!

I think this is funny...as I was reading some recent posts about some differences of opinion on trail maintenance at various parks and after the ride last night I remembered something I posted a few years ago that I think says a lot about what these rides are all about.

The only thing I would reword in this post is about ignoring peoples complaints about TM. I think the people who disagree or don't like the trail maintence that is occuring in the parks that they ride need to man up and have a respectful conversation with the people doing the work.

So take a look at what I wrote a few years back, scroll toward the bottom.

I don't get to the Allaire pow-wows much these days cause of work, but I am able to come to the beginner rides more often now. It was great to see everyone last night and to catch up with some folks!

Chris led a good ride!

Well said Chris, too much negative-ism(is that a word?) on either side or the feeling of obligation is non productive and chases people away. It has happened to us. We are sorta involved, though not as much as we would like but what our time allows, at Allaire and have always been met with a positive response and made to feel welcome. And after all isn't that what makes people want to be involved in the first place?

Chris thanks for linking back to your previous post. I enjoyed reading it and made me wish I could contribute more when it comes to TM. Thanks again!

Allaire Tuesday Beginner Rides 2012

Now that I'm on the board, just want to thank JORBA & it's members for the Tuesday evening rides. So much fun. Until this past week, we got 3 in a row in with good weather. Anybody up for a ride at Allaire tomorrow ( Sunday 5/6) or Monday ( 5/7) since I just have to get my Allaire fix ?
