Nice job soundz! It appears as if there were good races all around for mtbnj users. It certainly turned out to be a nice day, and the course was real fun. Thanks to the promoter, Tim for such a well run race. 🙂

Great job to the promoters, great race and course. Also very nice that they paid out the top 8 in the Cat 1 30-39. H2H promoters this is a great idea, I don't think I need anymore left over parts. I had a great day of racing, kinda hit the wall on the last lap and only lost one stop to finish 4th. Great Job to all.

Just wanted to give the biggest thanks to Christine & Max who took the time to help Rob & I break into our car after leaving the keys inside. if it wasn't for you guys, we would not have been able to race. And also Gordon, who gave us his coat hanger to break into our car!
Muchas gracias to u all,
Wendi & Rob 🙂

p.s. I wasn't planning to do all the H2H races this year, but now I'm thinking I could have a shot at the overall. I already missed Waway, so .. hmm..

Congrats Jimmy....awesome job on your podium finish. Sounds like you got bitten by the racing bug. You might want to reconsider putting your FS up for sale.

I couldn’t make this one…my son came up from Florida today.

Congrats to all who did well today and thanks for the great recaps. Fun stuff.

Jimmy, you've come a long way kid. Great job. Now time to change your avatar to a podium shot (well, Capers accepting for you).

Dustin, hang in there. Every race is a learning experience. A wise man once said, sometimes you eat the bar, sometimes the bar eats you.

Good read Iggy. Good to see you out there having fun. Nice podium shirt!

Awesome job by the team, and many of the people from the site. Ryan had a great race too, and that battle looks to get really interesting in the next few races.

Great job everybody!
However there are so many Robs getting mentioned I am even getting confused. Maybe I need to change my name to Jig Saw or something

Great work Jimmy....Dont ever listen to what luke tells you in passing...he loves bullshitting....He always tells me that norm is like 30 seconds ahead of me.

Dustin I cant say I remember what i was thinking when you passed me, but I can assure that it wasn't "Dustin is going slow" 🙂 Nice work getting back in the race and finishing. If you are intrested in the points series, days like yesterday are really important in the end. My 16th at tymor last year made a big difference by the time ringwood came around.

Congrats Iggy! Nice to finally be able to congradulate you after all of the cheering you gave me last year.

Everyone, great work! Love the writeups.

Nice work Rob!!

first race with the SS

so didn't know what to expect but came in 8th in the class. Was right behind soundz for most of the first lap and almost ran him over when he slipped on the roots and then saw his bottle go flying a little later. It was a sprint the entire time and the hills on the second lap did me in. Fun time overall.

I guess it was a good thing calling you Mike yesterday, can't let the rest of the NUE lads know you bag in Cat3!

Great day for a race, sucked I only got to watch. Found out I'll be out of town for LM on vacation, guess I'm coming back early.

It was my daughters first Cat2 race, she was looking good and leading until her chain snapped. She doesn't want to come home early from vacation.

some surprised have made and underdog became championn also the roadies turn to mtbikers and vice versa,it's all in good vibes of racing atmospheres

i salute you, pooriggy!

and congrats to all others racer who finished or acomplished their goal, bravo!

One of the BEST parts of racing is reading the 1 2 3 or 4 crazy thing(s) that happen to each of us. Either someone almost dies on a climb, their bike falls apart and catches on fire or whatever. Its fun to read it and read all the best wished for the next race from friends/competitors. We ride together one sunday then the following sunday we're trying to hold one another off on a climb or get to the ST first. I love this stuff.

What a great day and as it was reiterated before, thanks go out to Tim Schopen and his crew for putting on a great race, setting up a great course, and doing whatever dance they had to do to hold off the rain!!!

All I know is that I need to show up earlier to socialize more. Sorry if I cut anyone off as I was trying to get my game face on 🙂 Anyway the day was a whirlwind... I got in a decent warm up as I wanted to scout out the climb and I was comfortable with it. So I got to the line as warm as I could - which is never as warm as you'd like it. We go off hard and my teammate went out harder and as I see this of course I try and grab his wheel. I was hoping to use this as a nice move to get first wheel into the s-track but Roger beat me to it. After realizing I was in too big of a gear and fumbling for a sec I bridged up to Roger and the pain train was rolling. We cruised through the first section of st beautifully. As we hit the fire road before the descent to the river I wanted to get to the front and I did. I just kept it steady and put down a good consistent effort on the hills. It worked. As I got through the field approaching the big climb it was only me and Steve Mancuso and he was right on my wheel. We climbed the hill together and finished lap 1 together. We rode most of lap 2 together and I opened a little gap on the climb the second time through. From there on I was alone. It was a great but unsettling feeling all at the same time. It's hard to push from the front when you don't know what's coming up from behind(I know, I know, great problem to have right?) But it's weird. I'm definitely not used to that. So I kept it steady and the moment I realized I had the win in the bag is when I hit the field and made the right turn and there was no one in my class in sight. So I cruised in for the win.

Totally an amazing day and NOT my kind of race. It was TOO fast and short for my liking. I would much rather have another Wawayanda type race than this one but it turned out ok I guess. Thanks for all the congratulations but there's way more work to go. I'm focused on the next 100 miler coming up in Ohio.

Wuz up wid dat H to S. Fisnizle. The TBTC grabs a payoff in somalians. Minister of propaganda is throwin' it out there for a little hut 234 and a scouting mission with recon for a little crankset rotation in the land of BBBDWKRFA. That's what I'm selling. Dig the new breed and run with All Mod Cons.
Peace out, F to the U.
Yours in respect and obedient service:
Minister of misinformation and public unrest.
