Wharton Conditions

Road blue and white today. Somebody was busy with a saw. Nice work............
🙂 The current post-storm deadfall removal tally: @tankhead opened up the PBT; the Huckleberry Trail was me, followed by Jim and Rick; Teaberry Trail done by Mike and Gordon; and I joined Mike and Gordon clearing the OakHill Trail. It takes a village, or maybe just some hard working old guys with nice sharp pruning saws.

There's still several remaining on the FireTower Trail double track that are scheduled for removal this week. 🪚🪓

Our previous maintenance pass down the Huckleberry Trail made it ridable. Yesterday's pass made it more enjoyable. Our next pass will make it golden. (At least until the next: wind storm; forest fire: blizzard; or springtime. Whichever comes first.)
Big thanks to yesterday's JORBA volunteers: @John the Plumber ; @sj_john ; @moray42 ; @slingblade_uhhuh

Yesterday I rode Orange there were 6 new blow downs. There are 3 down between miles 5 & 6 going clockwise.
My garmin was acting up so I couldn't give a good location.
Sawed out the two around mile marker 4. (South of Long Bridge.) Closed some cheat lines too. Nice day for trail work. Though the 15 yo Fiskar folder that I used today should've been retired a decade ago. 🤣 Might return tomorrow w/ a KatanaBoy for some more fun.
