What are you watching now?

We just watched Dear Child on Netflix - limited series, 6 epis.
Definitely worth a watch

Been meaning to catch up here.

Wife and I just watched “Bird Box” and man was that movie creepy and suspenseful in a good way.

We also blew through the whole miniseries “The Watcher” which was also entertaining even if open ended due to the real life situation.

We are ripping through New Amsterdam the last few weeks as well and while the writing and acting is very good it feels just a bit like all the other previous hospital based dramas and nothing can ever replicate “ER” for me.

anyone watch good omens 2?

i'm a big fan of the book and season 1... i loved seeing crowley and aziraphale back on the screen... but, sadly, i feel like season 2 was missing something.

Fall of the House of Usher
Netflix

Couple day binge. Set in a modern time fiasco, as in a how did this happen? The poetry of EAP is on display in the sounds and images of modern cinema.

You probably had a little exposure in HS, maybe the teacher was as little dark, so was explored more.

Or maybe just the Simpsons

Brilliant. On both parts.

Telltale Heart is better....

Just watched Cocaine Bear for the second time.

Would watch again.

Fun fact: run time is the exact flight time between lift off in Nashville and touch down in Newark.

Just finished Loki on Disney.
It's no Dark, but it tries to be....
Dark was very good. I ditched Netflix years ago, so I only saw S1.

Was gonna start Loki S2 soon. I'm starting to tire of all the multiverse and inter-dimensional stuff from Marvel. Those actors must spend every day in front of green screens.

I was sick recently and was able to get through The Boys, Gen V, and Citadel in a about a month's time. I don't normally watch that much TV.

Been a while since I checked in here to see what everyone else has been doing.

Recently completed these the last month or so while I was injured/sick on Netflix

- Band of Brothers - I remember watching this on HBO back when it came out in 2001. Im not much of a war/history buff but this was so well done I was excited to see it again after 22 years. Some of the cast members back then have gone on to do some great stuff.

- The Pacific - I dont think I even knew this was a follow up to BoB but of course Netflix led me right to it and I was hooked. Instead of WWII this focuses on the events of Pearl harbor and is great storytelling from the actual people who the movie is representing semi documentary style. the acting/cinematography is outstanding.

Now I am seeing all the teasers for the next one called "Masters of the Air" which focuses on the Bomber crews.

Leave the World Behind - wife and I decided this looked good based on the trailer and the cast members, but it was pretty weird and way out there from a conspiracy theory approach and the ending was totally disappointing.

Currently watching Ratched - crime drama about a nurse that infiltrate's a psych hospital with some ulterior motives. its also a bit weird but its keeping our interest for now.

Ron Livingstone shot a behind the scenes of the actor boot camp that a lot of them did before the start of shooting Band of Brothers, which is actually a pretty enjoyable watch:
