What beer are you drinking RIGHT NOW?

So yeah. I'm in Burlington, VT. Vibrant beer culture. Portland, ME is also an incredible destination, but I think I give the nod to VT for their (ab)use of hops. They really harness the resin.

This was a birthday/Xmas present from my wife- a beer trip to VT.
Here I sampled brews from:
Alchemy
Lost Nation
Maine Brewing (not VT, but still awesome)
Lawson's Finest Liquids
Burlington Brewery
Fiddlehead
Hill Farmstead
Zero Gravity
Queen City
Switchback
14th Star
Citizen Cider

Given more time, this list could easily be twice as long. Just a wealth of great options here. 49 breweries in the state is the number I heard.

Awesome trip. Already planning our return. So much to do, see, eat and drink here.

Wow, nice trip. Did you visit all those breweries? Also how was the snow there, is there snow? Please answer snow question as thoroughly as you would a beer question.

Wow, nice trip. Did you visit all those breweries? Also how was the snow there, is there snow? Please answer snow question as thoroughly as you would a beer question.

Snow was patchy ground cover, minimal lacing, granular mouthfeel. Crystals forward, lingering chill in the finish.
They got a fresh inch or so before we got here, but it was 40's during the day, so it didn't last. My plan was to hit up a local nordic center (Catamount) with Fat Elvis, but the day I had to ride it was again 40's and drizzly. Went beering instead.

And no, we only visited 4 breweries (counting the cider mill). You can easily hit a bunch just in town, though you don't have to go further than a restaurant to sample the local goods. Every restaurant seems to have an amazing selection- the brewers make sure the restos are well stocked- it's just a facet of the locavore movement.
We didn't even make it to the Farmhouse Tap and Grill, which is supposed to have the best tap selection.
Gotta save something for next time…

Almost forgot I found these at a garage sale over the summer - the guy wanted $10 for all six. I said "how bout $8 ? " He took it . So of course I had to try one out - oh and the beer too . Good Belgian beer . Right up there with the others I've tried .
