What beer are you drinking RIGHT NOW?

3beans

Another awesome dark coffee chocolate beer, but this is a porter. I thought it was a stout, but this is still good. A little bit alcoholy at 10%.

Yeah, I'm trying this now.
Was very psyched for it- Have been enjoying their Diesel quite a bit.
But yeah, this isn't the best thing to come out of Brooklyn. Nice flavor, but as you note, a bit alcoholy- It's tough to hide 10%.
Next time I'll reach for a 4-pack of Diesel.

Their Resin is my favorite.

Yup, got some of that too- it's tight.

But if you're looking for a tasty high abv chocolate coffee beverage,
try some Southern Tier Mokah. Smooth, balanced and tasty.

Nice. I'll pick some up.

Another good on is terrapin wake and bake. Check it out.

In general, not a Leinen fan but have heard a lot of good things about the VP. How does it compare to the Breckenridge VP?

Im not a Leinen fan at all, but one sunday I stopped out with my friend and his dad for some drinks and the small bar we were in had the Snowdrift on tap. It was ok, and I think a bought a 6 of it the following week. I think the Breckenridge is worlds better, but the SDVP is tolerable.

It's an ale brewed in the Swedish glogg tradition - has figs , orange peels, spices and 4 malts , 2 different hops ... 8 % alcohol - good fireplace beer apre ski or any other outdoor stuff

Tried this today on tap. Hit with orange peel and gingerbread on the nose, then big gingerbread flavor that fell off pretty fast. Quite enjoyable.

Trying gluten free for health reasons... found DFH Tweason' ale. Bit too fruity for me but not bad!

Had a local beer from a Roselle Park brewery the other day, Climax Doppel Bock. Good darker brew and pretty strong too.
